  • Update from the Capitol: Weeks 2 and 3

    Things have been busy here at the Capitol, with two shortened weeks, one due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrations and another due to the anticipation of inclement weather. Despite our abbreviated schedule, we have had an efficient and busy two weeks.

  • Deadline for Hazard Mitigation Grants for Hurricane Michael is Approaching

    ATLANTA (February 1, 2018) | Sen. Tyler Harper (R – Ocilla) encourages eligible communities and local governments to apply for grants through the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The deadline for pre-application is March 1.

    “We want to help those who are most affected by Hurricane Michael and I urge local communities that were affected by the disaster to apply for these grants,” said Sen. Harper. “Now is the time for local leaders and organizations to come together to rebuild our communities. I want to thank GEMA for providing these funds to support our communities.”
